Archer hunting bull from chariot
Kategória Cylinder Seals
Description of the seal image The scene is framed by guilloche borders at the top and bottom. A bearded hunter (archer) wearing a long, double-belted robe aims his bow at a rampant bull. Next to him stands a charioteer holding the reins of two horses (one depicted). The chariot has a six-spoked wheel and a tasselled spear with a round butt in the back. The horse has a feather crest on its head. Above it is an eight-rayed, globe-centred star and the Sibitti (Pleiades), while below are two globes, a small and a large. A crescent moon appears above the archer's left hand.
