Pot-stand between king sitting on throne and his attendant
Kategória Cylinder Seals
Description of the seal image The scene is framed by chevron borders running in opposite directions at the top and bottom. A beardless attendant faces a bearded king or dignitary sitting on a throne. The attendant wears a long, broad-belted, fringed robe, has a towel thrown over his shoulder and holds a flag-shaped fan and a cloth. The king wears similar clothing and holds a cup. Between the two figures are two superimposed vessels on a stand (pot-stand), while behind them is an ear of wheat ('bottle-brush' tree) below four globes of the Sibitti (Pleiades). Another such plant appears in front of the king's legs below an eight-rayed star, and there is a crescent moon above his cup-holding hand. Several wedges appear scattered across the image field.
