Kategória Cylinder Seals
Description of the seal image The seal image is damaged by chipping in several places. The remaining scene depicts a bearded hero grasping the foreleg of a rampant human-headed winged lion (shedu, sphinx) with one hand and holding a sickle sword (scimitar) in the other. He wears a broad-belted, tiered and fringed open robe over a short tunic. Between the two figures is a small, cactus-like stylised plant, while above the sphinx is a crescent moon.
