Archer hunting gazelle (antelope) and worshipper behind him
Kategória Cylinder Seals
Description of the seal image The scene is framed by line borders at the top and bottom. A half-kneeling hunter (archer) aims his bow at a gazelle (antelope) with bunched legs standing on a mountain shaped by three globes and there is a worshipper behind him. Above the gazelle are the Sibitti (Pleiades). Between the hunter and his prey is likely a vessel below a crescent moon. There is a rhomb below a six-rayed, globe-centred star and between the beardless worshipper wearing a long robe and the hunter.
