Hero fighting griffin

Description of the seal image A bearded hero grasps the wing of a rampant griffin with one hand and holds a sickle sword (scimitar) in the other while trampling on the hind legs of the hybrid creature. He wears a long, broad-belted, fringed, open robe over a short tunic. Above each of his arms is a crescent moon and an eight-rayed, globe-centred star, respectively. Below the griffin's forepaws is a small, cactus-like plant in a pot.
