Description of the seal image The royal hero grasps a rampant lion on either side, each by the throat. He wears a dentate crown (cidaris) and Persian clothing (court robe). Above the lion on the right is a crescent moon, while behind the animals is a tall stylised tree, perhaps a cypress.
