The cylinder image is framed by a line border at the top. The royal hero grasps a rampant lion on either side, each by the throat. He wears a dentate crown (cidaris) and Persian clothing (court robe). Behind the lions is a stylised tree. The seal image depicts a reclining human-headed winged lion (lamassu, sphinx) under a crescent moon, while the seal image on the handle depicts an eight-rayed star. |
