| Description of the seal image | The scene is framed by intermittent line borders at the top and bottom. A worshipper in a long, fringed robe stands facing an armed god (Ea) standing on a goat-fish (suhurmashu), and a human-headed fish apkallu (fish-coaked priest). The divine figure wears a tall, rectangular headdress and a long, triple-belted, fringed robe. He has a sword at his waist and holds a beaded ring and a curved, ram-headed staff. The priest behind the deity is naked except for the cloak and holds a cone and bucket. Behind him and the worshipper is an eight-rayed, globe-centred star above an ear of wheat ('bottle-brush' tree). A crescent moon appears above the goat-fish. |
